2019–20 Summer Reading Lists and Assignments

We hope the weeks of summer offer you and your families the opportunity for some well deserved R and R, which includes “R” for “Reading!” Below you will find summer reading, organized by grade level in the elementary divisions and by grade level plus academic discipline in the high school divisions. Inspired by our Great Texts Philosophy, we are committed to creating and participating in a culture of reading where texts become an essential avenue for discovery, empathy and insight into the human experience. We hope our students enjoy these reading opportunities, and we encourage them to go beyond the “assigned” text for their grade and dip into further reading selections. We also invite parents to read alongside their child as part of our culture of reading.
