Favorite Subjects
Physics, Science and Mathematics have always been my favorite classes in school, and Stuart Hall has only strengthened my love of all three. I'm currently in Honors Physics and Honors Pre-Calculus, and they are my favorite classes because I love the paradoxical simplicity of complex equations that I work with in Math and Science.

Favorite School Activity
Outside of class, my favorite sport is soccer because I enjoy the physicality and teamwork necessary for the game. I can get a good workout while also bonding with my teammates, which has helped me meet people and strengthen new friendships.

Favorite School Tradition
I enjoy singing our Sacred Heart song, Coeur de Jésus, for a number of reasons. It's one of the only songs I know in another language, and I also appreciate when we see other schools sing it because it reminds me of how connected our school is. I also like singing the song, it's fun and has a good rhythm.

Favorite Space/Classroom on Campus
The Learning Commons is my favorite working space on our campus because it was specially designed so that we could get work done in the space. With my course load, I utilize the space very often to do my homework and to work collaboratively with my classmates.

Best Part of Your Day
Each time that I have Honors Physics with Mr. Woodard is my favorite time of the day. When I walk into the class, I feel secure and confident because I can comprehend the material and I actually enjoy what we do. Mr. Woodard is a great teacher for me because he can help me when I'm struggling, but he knows how to keep the atmosphere light and fun.

Favorite School Project
For my Honors American Literature class, our Fall Final was a project where we made an art composition incorporating elements of The Great Gatsby and formal Modernism. I created a cubist, graphite drawing of a battlefield with soldiers, alcohol bottles, and a large dead tree, which was very challenging and took a lot of time. After I was able to make multiple connections to the novel and to modernism, my finished piece was visually appealing, and I was happy with it.

Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Co-ed Community
Most of my classes are single-sex, so the majority of my day I spend with the guys in my class, and it has significantly affected my life and the way I study. I feel safe and comfortable in my classes, and I have made great friendships with my classmates. However, I'm still in contact with the girls in my class who go to Convent. My Latin class is co-ed, and I appreciate the time I can spend with the girls in our class.

Future Career Path/Fields of Interest
Because I'm so passionate about physics, I hope to become a physicist after college. I like the idea of being a professor at a university or working for the government doing particle physics or theoretical physics. When I graduate from Stuart Hall, I will try to go to a technical college to pursue physics, and hopefully go on to graduate school after. I want to use my education to contribute to society and help people around the world, and I think I can do that through physics.
