What Having K–2 Students Back on Campus Looks Like

After receiving approval from the San Francisco Department of Public Health for on-campus instruction, students in Grades K–2 who are ready to return arrived on campus for the first time since last March.

After starting the first month of the school year remotely, many students in Grades K–2 returned to campus on September 24 to begin in-person learning. Families also have the option of continuing to learn from a distance in a hybrid format. Students in Grades 3–8 will return to campus in phases over the coming weeks.

Browse a photo album from the first day below, and watch a short highlight video of students arriving on campus and getting settled into new classroom environments that include physical distancing and face coverings.
