My favorite activity at school is musical theater. This is the first year I am going to participate in the school musical — I'm very excited to get to do what I love the most, which is singing and being on stage!
Science, Math and P.E.
I've always enjoyed science because there is so much we can learn about the world through scientific experiments. I also love math because the process of working through challenging math problems in a group is a lot of fun. Finally, I love P.E. because it gives me a chance to run around, be energetic and play sports.
Favorite School Activity
My favorite activity at school is musical theater. I've taken musical theater classes in the After School Program for many years and have loved learning new songs and dance routines. This is the first year I am going to participate in the school musical — I'm very excited to get to do what I love the most, which is singing and being on stage!
Favorite School Tradition
My favorite school tradition has got to be Congé because it is a special bonding experience for our whole school. The eighth graders put in a lot of effort to plan a whole day with a variety show, carnival and movie. We also love the element of surprise in trying to guess when Congé will take place — and we've never been able to guess it!
Favorite Space/Classroom on Campus
My favorite place on campus is Syufy Court. It was recently redone and I think it looks so beautiful. In the court, we usually play soccer in the open space or climb on the big new play structure. I always get excited when I know we are going to Syufy Court because I know we're definitely going to have a great time.
Best Part of Your Day
The best part my day is definitely recess. I feel like recess is a time for us to take a break from academics and just relax. At recess we usually play games, do sports or just talk about random things with each other. Whatever it is, after recess I'm able to come back to my classes feeling energized and ready to tackle my schoolwork.
Favorite School Project
Recently, we had a project in Social Studies called the "The Dig." We learned archeology and the process of extracting artifacts to learn about history. At the end of the project, our class went to Baker Beach and worked in teams to dig up artifacts. I was really proud of how well my team worked to piece together the stories behind what we found. It was hard work, but we supported each other throughout the project and learned a lot.
Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Coed Community
I think I have benefitted from being in a single-sex school because of the sisterhood that has formed in our class. We are all going through the same things as girls and we can relate so well to each other, both inside and outside of the classroom. Because of that, as the years have gone by, we have all gotten very close with one another. I know I could trust any girl in my class if I needed help, and I would be there for them too. We are all so encouraging to each other and I love knowing that we will share that special bond for the rest of our lives.

Future Career Path/Fields of Interest
As of now, I see myself pursuing a career in music because singing is my passion. I've always loved Broadway and would love to perform in a Broadway production when I'm older. I also play the cello and piano, and I've always thought it would be cool to combine those with my singing into a musical career someday.
