    Math & Art
  • Tradition
    Congé
  • Activity
    Cross Country & Track

Favorite Subjects
My top two subjects are Math and Art. I have always been fascinated by math, and it has continuously been my strongest subject. I love the combination of art and math and how they weave together in engineering and architecture.

Favorite School Activity
I have had an amazing experience running for the cross country and track teams at Stuart Hall. Both teams are like families, always being there for each other, always cheering for each other and always celebrating with each other.

Favorite School Tradition
My favorite school tradition is Congé. It's a day where we all stop working for a day and come together as a school to acknowledge all the effort we put into school. It is also an amazing time to spend with your friends and relax for a day.

Favorite Space on Campus
My favorite space in our school is Mr. Halkyard's Chemistry room. It is a very open room with a lot of natural light, and Mr. Halkyard has an oven installed with a lot of cooking supplies. For people who like to bake or cook, he lets them use the kitchen to bake any type of food they like.

Best Part of Your Day
One of the best parts of my day is sports practice. After a long day of working hard on school work it's nice to wind down by getting energy out by training for a few hours. It's also really good to work out and stay healthy.

Favorite School Project
One of the school projects I am most proud of is a string art piece I created last year. I hammered a series of about 150 to 200 nails on a 16 by 25 piece of wood in a hand drawn pattern depicting a hand holding a heart. Then I wove a web of red and white string around each nail till the heart and fingers were filled in. The project took about two to three months. and it came out better than I could have imagined.

Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Coed Community
I think having a single-sex education is great at times because it allows you to say and discuss things you might not feel as comfortable saying in front of the opposite sex. However, in some classes, having a coed education is also great because it allows you to see things through the opposite sex's eyes, which can provide a very valuable perspective.
