Knights' 8-Man Football Team Concludes Dominant Season as League Champion

The Stuart Hall High School 8-man Football Team wrapped up an impressive season with a Championship showdown and honors for coach Rich Robinson and outstanding players.

On November 18, 2023, the Stuart Hall High School 8-man Football Team took on South Fork High School in the North Coast Section (NCS) Division 1 Championship. The Knights played a gritty game but fell to the Cubs with a game-ending score of 44-22. Although a tough loss for the team, the game closed the books on a dominant and impressive season for the Knights, which featured a 5-0 league record, making them the outright League Champion. 

In addition to the team's success this season, head coach Rich Robinson was named a 2023 NCS Honor Coach for the dedication, passion and knowledge he brings to the football program. Individual student-athletes also earned recognition for their outstanding performance this season: First Team All-League recipients include Tim Rayford, Rhett Sypult, Maxon Craig, Eric Lee and Saul Marks. Geno Putt was an honorable mention, and Max Oenning was named the league’s Offensive Most Valuable Player. Senior Eric Lee was also one of two San Francisco scholar-athletes selected as a National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame scholarship recipient for the 2023-24 school year.

Max Oenning had 1,074 receiving yards and 20 touchdowns
