Favorite Subjects
My favorite classes are Math and Science, or Honors Algebra II/ Precalculus and Honors Chemistry. Although they are two of my hardest classes, I really enjoy learning about them. STEM has always been a passion of mine, and the teachers make the subjects fun to learn.

Favorite School Activity
I love fencing with the Convent & Stuart Hall team. We have a really tight-knit community, and have lots of fun while stabbing each other! It's also a great way to meet some of the guys at Stuart Hall, who I wouldn't talk to outside of fencing.

Favorite School Tradition
The class retreats are my favorite school tradition, because it's a calming and valuable experience with my friends. I have only been to one retreat so far, but it was one of my favorite experiences last year. I feel that we got closer as a class, and I learned a lot about my classmates that I didn't know before. It was exciting to be away from the city, without technology to distract me from my surroundings.

Favorite Space/Classroom on Campus
My favorite space is the art room in Siboni. Although I don't get to spend as much time there as I would like, it's a very comfortable, cozy space where anyone can go to do art or relax.

Best Part of Your Day
ColLab period is my favorite, because we are given the liberty to use our time however we want. If I need to slow down, then I can relax during ColLab, and do some light studying with friends. If I have questions or am behind in one of my classes, then the teachers are all available. It's a nice space of time in the middle of the week.

Favorite School Project
Recently, I did a big project in my Hislish class; my partner and I wrote a Revolutionary Newspaper, commenting on modern and historical revolutions and the opinions of Charles Dickens on the French Revolution expressed in his novel A Tale of Two Cities. We made a beautiful product, proof of the work and time we put into our newspaper. By the end, we were able to see the result of all our hard work in a very tangible way.

Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Coed Community
Being at a single-sex school has taught me to self-advocate; I contribute a lot in class, and share my opinions openly. On the other hand, in my one coed class at Stuart Hall, I enjoy learning and am a little more focused and competitive than in my other classes. Both the classes and I are more on-topic and articulate in a single-sex environment, and coed classes make me more competitive and focused outside the classroom. The mix of the two gives me a well-rounded classroom experience.

Last Book Read That Was Not Assigned
The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne

Future Career Path/Fields of Interest
I definitely want to have a career in STEM, but am undecided about exactly what I want to do. I really like coding and computers, so I might work for a tech industry. I also might pursue an engineering position, since I like math. All of my classes provide me with a solid foundation and a well-rounded education, which will create more opportunities for my career in the future.
