Donate Stock and Mutual Funds to Convent & Stuart Hall

Making a securities donation to support Convent & Stuart Hall enables us to fulfill our mission and deepen our commitment to Sacred Heart education in San Francisco. Please note, for internal gift crediting purposes, Convent & Stuart Hall calculates the value of stock gifts based on the mean of the high and the low value per share on the date received into the school’s brokerage account.

Donate via The Giving Block

Please note: We currently accept publicly traded, domestic common stock via The Giving Block. The minimum value for stock donations is $500. For mutual funds, please use the Morgan Stanley instructions provided below.

Donating stock is safe and easy. Using the donation form on this page, making a charitable gift of stock is a quick, five-step process:

  1. Select your stock ticker symbol and confirm the company name in the donation form.
  2. Enter your gift quantity and select a gift designation.
  3. Enter your name, email, phone number, and address. 
  4. Enter your brokerage account information.
  5. Virtually sign and make your gift.

Upon making a donation, you will receive an email notification from The Giving Block that your gift is being processed. In some circumstances, you may need to take action with your broker. The email will have instructions on any next steps. 

Charitable donations of stock are processed safely and typically within 6-8 business days with The Giving Block's distribution partner. Processing times can be longer during December or when dealing with restricted stock. No goods or services will be offered in exchange for donations of securities. All donations made via The Giving Block are nonrefundable.

1. Before making the transfer, please notify the school’s Advancement Office by email at giving@sacredsf.org or by completing the Donation Notification Form. Often, your name will not accompany the electronic transfer of  shares, so we need the following information in order to correctly credit and acknowledge your gift: 

a. Your name and email 
b. Name of the stock or security 
c. Number of shares 
d. Estimated gift value ($)
e. Purpose of donation: Annual Fund, Endowment, Campaign, etc.
