Stuart Hall Varsity Basketball
Stuart Hall has established itself as one of the top basketball programs in the Bay Area. Since the start of the program, every Stuart Hall team has finished the season with a winning record. Since 2007, Stuart Hall has produced a dozen college basketball players, including three from the Class of 2015 alone. In 2018, Stuart Hall captured its first-ever NorCal title, advancing to the Division IV CIF State Finals at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. Stuart Hall won back-to-back league titles in 2014 and 2015, and is one of only three teams to win the North Coast Section Championship in the past 10 years. The 2014-15 team enjoyed the school's first 30-win season. The JV team plays 26 games per season and has not lost more than five games in any of the past five years, going undefeated in league play for the past two years. This is a Division-V program; the league includes University High School, Lick-Wilmerding High School, the Urban School, Marin Academy, and International High School. Outside of league, Stuart Hall plays a robust schedule against teams from much larger schools, including Lowell, Mission High School, Archbishop Riordan High School, Sacred Heart Cathedral Prep, St. Joseph's, Branson High School, Burlingame High School, and many others. Three levels of play — on the Freshman/Sophomore team, JV team, and Varsity team — typically accommodates more than 40 student-athletes. An extensive tryout period is held for these competitive teams.
