Music Program

Our Music Program aims to develop technical skills and artistic expression while encouraging a genuine appreciation for the art of music, guiding students from their initial exploration of musical concepts to advanced performance and theoretical studies in high school.

For students in elementary school, music is a part of their standard curriculum. Beginning in kindergarten, students form foundational music concepts through singing, instrument exposure, and music literacy. From grades fifth through eighth, our students build upon their learning with the opportunity to pursue one of three “tracks”: vocal, strings, or band. Our student musicians learn to read music, employ music terminology, comprehend theory and play diverse music styles. Students in both vocal and instrumental music perform regularly throughout the school year.

Our high school music program offers a performance-based curriculum in both vocal and instrumental music. Prior experience is strongly recommended, as the courses are designed to build on established foundational concepts. Additionally, our IB Diploma Programme in music challenges students in music composition and analysis, theory, and some elements of performance.
