Grades 1–8

Campus tours are a requirement of the application process, and we have designed our tours for you to access and experience our classroom environment and learn more about our challenging curriculum. You will also see our state-of-the-art facilities including the Unkefer Spark Studio, gymnasium, fitness and training room, theaters, and the Siboni Arts and Science Center. The tour begins with a welcome from the Elementary Admissions Team, and concludes with a live Q&A session with school leaders, parent ambassadors and students.

• Grades K–4: Campus tours will be held in person on Monday and Tuesday mornings.
• Grades 5–8: Campus tours will be held in person on the mornings of Tuesday, December 9 for Convent Elementary and Monday, December 15 for Stuart Hall for Boys.
• Grades K-4 tours will be from 8:45—11 a.m. and Grades 5-8 tours will be from 9:00—11:00 am. All tours begin/end at 2222 Broadway.
• Campus tours are for parents/guardians only.

Application Requirements

• Campus tour
• Application and $100 application fee. The online application will be available in the admissions portal starting Monday, September 22. If the application fee presents any challenge for your family, please use the following fee waiver code: K8APP.
• Confidential Student Evaluation Form: Please send the online Student Evaluation Form request to your child's teacher via the checklist in the admissions portal.
• School Transcript: Please send the online Transcript Request to your School Registrar/Office via the checklist before December 1, 2025. We require fall 2025 grades, year-end report cards for the 2024–25 and 2023–24 school years, and two years of standardized test results (if applicable).
• Admissions Assessment for applicants to grades 1—4 only.

The application, Student Evaluation Form and school transcript are due by Friday, January 9, 2026. Applications received on or before this date receive priority consideration.

• Applicants to Grades 1–4: Please sign up for your child’s one-on-one Admissions Assessment via the checklist in the admissions portal. In-person assessments last 30-60 minutes and are held on a weekday.

• Applicants to Grades 5–8: Testing is not required.

Final candidate status is determined after a thorough review of each completed applicant file based on the availability of space and an assessment of readiness to begin our program.

Only final candidates will complete the admissions process with a student visit and parent interview.

Visits and interviews will be scheduled by the Admissions Office beginning in mid-February 2026.

On Tuesday, October 21 from 6—7:00 pm, we will be hosting a webinar in partnership with Mission Enrollment to provide information about applying for financial assistance at Convent & Stuart Hall. Please note that the webinar will be recorded and will be made available to review on your applicant checklist. An email with a link to register will follow closer to the date. The natural entry point to Convent & Stuart Hall is kindergarten. Entrance into Grades 1–8 is dependent upon available space and attrition and can vary from year to year. Please note we may only assess applicants and interview families applying to grades in which we anticipate openings. Please understand that often we cannot be certain about availability until all enrollment agreements have been returned from currently enrolled students in early March.

Convent & Stuart Hall welcomes families from all over the country and world to our admissions process and is sensitive to the complexities that come with relocations.

Applicants who are relocating should contact the Admissions Office to learn about how to navigate the admissions process. We encourage families facing relocation to contact us as soon as possible.
