Supplemental Funds

Supplemental funds protect the schools from the unpredictability of annual income and expenses. That means no matter what happens, we can continue to attract high-caliber students and talented educators -- and prepare our students for a life bursting with potential, with meaning, with purpose. Funds

BEAR Scholarship Fund

The BEAR Scholarship Fund was created to provide a four year scholarship for a student at both Convent of the Sacred Heart High School and Stuart Hall High School. The recipients must have attended a parochial school in the San Francisco Archdiocese and remain in good academic standing. Since this fund is not endowed (it has been funded through anonymous donors in our Sacred Heart community), we encourage its continued support as it allows students who could not otherwise attend the schools the opportunity to experience a Sacred Heart education. The first BEAR Scholars graduated in 2007.

Miriam and Thomas Gray Chapel Preservation Fund

The Miriam and Thomas Gray Chapel Preservation Fund was established in 2005 by Ann Gray Miller '62'58 in honor of her parents, Miriam Drum Gray '29'25 and Thomas Gray. This fund was created to assist in preservation and updating the quality of the Broadway Chapel.

Stuart Hall High School Advancement Fund

The Stuart Hall High School Advancement Fund supports the comprehensive and achievable plan to secure the financial future of Stuart Hall High School and make it self-sufficient. This fund, in combination with the assistance of major benefactors, provides time for Stuart Hall High School to become self-sustaining. The Stuart Hall High School Advancement fund will help educate young men to be tomorrow’s leaders as responsible, compassionate, and contributing members of society.

Dashiell Unkefer Award

The Dashiell Unkefer Award was established in memory of Dashiell Unkefer SHB’94. The Dashiell Unkefer Mathematics Scholar is awarded at Stuart Hall for boys Prize day for a young man who is curious, sharp, and constantly seeking new challenges much in the spirit of Dashiell.
