A child applying to kindergarten for the 2014-2015 school year must be 5 years of age by July 15, 2014.
A complete applicant file includes the following:
- $100 application fee made payable to Schools of the Sacred Heart (fee waiver is available)
- Completed Application
- Completed Confidential Student Evaluation Form (from current preschool)
- Admissions Assessment (times set by the Admissions Office upon receipt of Application)
- School Tour for parents
The completed application and fee should be submitted to the Admissions Office to begin the admission process. Applications received by December 11, 2013 will receive priority consideration. We will begin accepting applications on our website September 30.
Upon receipt of the application, your son will be assigned two separate visits to Stuart Hall: one to assess developmental readiness and the other to participate in a group play activity. Both dates will be held on a weekday.
Confidential Student Evaluation Form
Sign and deliver the Confidential Student Evaluation Form to your son’s current teacher. The completed form should be returned in a sealed envelope directly from the preschool to the Admissions Office no earlier than December 1st and no later than December 16, 2013 for new families. Please have the preschool send the completed form to:

A parent interview at the kindergarten level is optional and available upon request. If you would like to schedule an interview or have any questions, please call Pamela Thorp, Director of Elementary Admissions, at 415.292.3113. Interviews begin October 1st and continue through the month of January. Interviews are approximately 30 minutes.
