Learning Specialist

The purpose of the Learning Services program at Stuart Hall is to provide assessment, direct instruction, and consultation with faculty, administrators, and parents to help students reach their full academic potential.

Services Provided by the Learning Specialists

• Child Study Team Referral/Follow-Up
• Screening in kindergarten and first grade
• Individual student academic action plans
• Referrals for in-depth assessments and/or remediation outside of school
• Direct small group instruction to students
• Liaison to outside support personnel
• Recommendation of strategies to meet students specific needs
• ERB Information/Consultation
• Curriculum and instructional accommodations
• Consultation with parents, teachers, and administrators
