Middle Form
Welcome from Dennis Phillips
Diligence, dignity and developing self-advocacy skills are just some of the characteristics and values we promote at Stuart Hall.
Our departmentalized curriculum includes a core academic program of English, mathematics, science, social studies, foreign languages (French, Spanish, and Latin), religion, physical education, art, music, and health. Our advisory system is one of our strongest attributes – students work one-on-one with an assigned faculty advisor throughout all four years of middle school and meet weekly in small groups with their advisors. This level of support is intended to guide students through the challenges of a rigorous academic program while fostering each student’s personal development.
Students are encouraged to explore their curiosity around spirituality and faith. Students gather in prayer weekly to contemplate and meditate on the mysteries of God and creation. Tied to these moments are the times when our students answer the call to service. While serving at our local food bank or tutoring in a neighborhood public school kindergarten, students realize there are opportunities when they can serve others who call out for help.
The middle form is also a place to explore a multitude of personal gifts and talents. There are opportunities to sing in our boy's chorus & ensemble, learn to play a musical instrument or play a team sport. Our extra-curricular programs support our students’ thirst for activities beyond the classroom.
I invite you to explore how a boy’s experience in the Stuart Hall middle form challenges young men to become leaders in our changing world.
