As part of the Stuart Hall for Boys Veteran's day celebration, the boys honored the men and women who have served in the military with a spirit dress day -- red, white, and blue were the colors of the day. During assembly in the morning of November 14, Lt. Mark Swartz SHB '97, who is currently serving in the U.S. Navy shared with the boys what it means to be a veteran and some of the jobs that military personnel hold. He was joined by current faculty Andy Lee SHB '99, who served in the U.S. Coast guard, and Dave McSpadden, former SHB faculty, who served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Convent High School students are taking part in a major project-based-learning assignment through the 20% Project. Throughout the 2013-14 school year, students will pursue a creative interest they otherwise would not experience as part of Convent & Stuart Hall's regular academic program. They'll brainstorm, produce a proposal and complete the project with the help of mentors. If you have a background in web technology, finance, nonprofit administration, science or writing and editing and are interested in mentoring a student, contact Rachael Denny at firstname.lastname@example.org.
