Favorite Subject(s)
I like Math because it is challenging and I learn a lot. I am also really interested in my Art Foundations elective class. We learn about color theory and different styles of art and get to do a lot of projects that are displayed throughout the school. Physics is also really fun because we get to play games and that keeps things interesting.

Favorite School Activity
I enjoy playing volleyball. This season we went to the championship; we won first place in fifth and seventh grade. Volleyball has taught me a lot about commitment and teamwork.

Lauren, who has attended Convent since kindergarten, explains her experience as an arts student.

Favorite School Tradition
I like Congé the most of all the traditions we have here. Last year I planned it for the rest of the school. It's a tradition the eighth graders do. This year I look forward to the surprise!

Favorite Space/Classroom on Campus
My favorite place in the school is the seat in the library that overlooks the city. It is magical.

Best Part of Your Day
I love my art class because it is a time to relax and de-stress. I also enjoy physics because of all the games we play like physics jeopardy.

Favorite School Project
We just finished an identity project in Honors English. It was comprised of an essay, a self portrait and a video of reading a poem that I wrote about myself. This project was difficult and time consuming because the essay question was "who am I?" This is a hard question to answer when you are fifteen and still discovering things about yourself.

Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Co-ed Community
I like my single-sex education in the classroom. I have learned that I can say what I want to say and that I am a powerful person. I think we have the perfect balance of co-ed and single-sex education.
