Taking Honors Biology my freshman year really helped me discover my love for the subject and I plan on taking more science classes my junior and senior year to keep up my interest.

Favorite Subject
My favorite subject is Science, specifically the Honors Biology class I took last year. I loved participating in labs everyday because we got to apply the topics we were learning to hands-on activities.

Favorite School Activity
I enjoy Student Council, which I have been a part of both freshman and sophomore year. It gives me a chance to grow my leadership skill and build connections with everyone in my grade.

Favorite School Tradition
When I was in elementary school, my favorite tradition was always Congé because of the surprise and anticipation. However, a tradition I am looking forward to participating in is the Ring Ceremony. I loved watching it last year because it was such a personal experience fore the juniors and seniors and I hope to enjoy it as much next year.

Favorite Space/Classroom on Campus
My favorite classroom is the newly designed Publications Lab. I have been taking Journalism since last year, and the new design has benefitted me. I like being able to stand at the tables instead of always sitting and having white board walls because there is much more flexibility than there previously was in the old computer lab.

Best Part of Your Day
I always love coming to school to see my friends, which motivates me to get up in the morning even if I am really tired. Having such a small grade means seeing your close friends more often and having them in class creates a really supportive environment.

Favorite School Project
Recently in Hislish, combined history and English class, my two partners and I created a newspaper about the historical French and modern-day Syrian revolutions. This was an exciting project for me because I could use the InDesign skills I learned in Journalism to create a very well put together newspaper, and it was a project the three of us were extremely proud to finish.

Benefits of Single-Sex Classes, Coed Community
Being at Convent since kindergarten has benefited me, especially in the classroom. I am not afraid to raise my hand and ask a question, and the conversations we can have in class are so nice because they really are focused for girls. However, having the aspect of a coed school community has helped me because I still know how to be social and I still have the experience of having boys around, just not in most of my classes.

Future Career Path/Fields of Interest
I see myself in a science career, hopefully genetics. Taking Honors Biology my freshman year really helped me discover my love for the subject and I plan on taking more science classes my junior and senior year to keep up my interest.
