Music & Drama

The Theatre and Choir programs at Convent/Stuart Hall provide a creative venue for students to have fun, increase confidence, and meet other students in an informal setting. Students develop expressive and social skills, as well as many technical skills such as stage lighting, set building, stage management and more.

The Drama Program mounts two large productions each school year, including a fall classical or contemporary play and a spring musical.

Both productions are coed and all interested students are welcome. In addition, all students are welcome to join the Improvisation Class, or “Improv.” Improv is oriented toward introducing and developing acting skills with emphasis on vocal and physical work, and use of the imagination to create unique characters and scenarios. Spontaneity, focus, and concentration, as well as group and individual trust are developed.

The Convent Choir presents two concerts each year during the Christmas and spring seasons. The Convent/Stuart Hall coed choir meets during Breakfast Club, which also performs at both the Christmas and Spring Concerts.
