Extracurricular
Schools of the Sacred Heart educate to personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom. (Goal Five, Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart Schools)
At Convent Elementary School, we teach the whole child. Our girls have many opportunities to develop leadership skills, grow in courage and confidence on the court, fields, stage or risers. They enjoy activities with classmates, students of other grade levels and sometimes with their “brothers” at Stuart Hall.
In the area of extracurricular activities, our students enjoy the best of both worlds – opportunities to participate because we are a small school and facilities and offerings of our K-12 community; activities that are just for girls, and as they mature, we share age-appropriate opportunities with our brother school, Stuart Hall; many elementary events are focused on a particular grade or grade clusters, and we have within our extended family the chance for students to join with their big sisters at Convent High School to experience advanced levels of journalism, photography, or play in our four-school orchestra.
All of the extracurricular opportunities are sources for our girls to discover and develop their talents, to learn to share their gifts, and to build our school community.
