OBJECTIVE

The students will:
  • Continue to develop standard English grammar: Punctuation, Parts of Speech, and Various Writing Conventions
  • Expand vocabulary for use in writing and oral communication
  • Write using phonics for regular decodable spelling patterns
  • Write from memory, non-decodable sight words
  • Participate in shared, guided, and independent writing

GRADING POLICY

Grading will be based on both formal and informal assessments.

Instructors do not evaluate students on individual skills. Projects are planned carefully to integrate the work in the lab with the classroom curriculum. Any special comments are reflected in the classroom teacher’s communication with parents.
