Stuart Hall for Boys (SHB) is
an independent Catholic school for boys in grades kindergarten
through eight. Stuart Hall is one of the Schools of
the Sacred Heart, San Francisco (founded in 1887),
a four-school complex which also includes Convent
of the Sacred Heart Elementary School (girls, K-8), Convent
of the Sacred Heart High School (girls, 9-12) and Stuart
Hall High School (boys, 9-12).
Since its founding in 1956, Stuart
Hall for Boys has dedicated itself to the education of
young men. It is a proud history of academic excellence
and commitment to intellectual, spiritual and social
development.
Stuart Hall enrolls approximately
320 students and has a student/teacher ratio of 10/1.
The boys are able to take advantage of small, single-sex
classes in a stimulating urban environment. The proximity
to and relationship with Convent Elementary offers Stuart
Hall students the best in educational worlds: single-sex
classrooms in a co-ed community.
The extended family of Stuart Hall
includes a worldwide network of schools, 21 of which
are in the United States and belong to the Network
of Sacred Heart Schools. All Sacred Heart schools
adhere to a common philosophy known as the Goals and
Criteria.
